Flounder, Cindy’s favourite species, is the quintessential flatfish, with an underrated sweetness and is often cooked whole and on the bone, bringing out the extra taste and texture. A delicate flake and moist succulent meat, flounder has a scale-less skin that is excellent for crisping when fried or BBQ’d. Our whole flounder can be filleted easily enough for those who prefer not dealing with bones. For an extra treat, whole flounder from Westfleet often contains tasty roe – a delicacy of it’s own!
Whole Westfleet flounder is available in ‘C’ grade sizes.
